Design of 2×2 DFT-spread STBC Coherent Optical-OFDM For PDM Optical Communications

چکیده
This work presents the combining of 2 methods, which are fast Fourier transform spread (FFT-spread) and 2×2 space time block codes (STBC), to boost the system performance for coherent optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (COOFDM) communication systems which is faster than the discrete Fourier transform spread (DFT-spread). The system performances are usually measured by the unit of bit error rate (BER). For 256-QAM, the highest communication length will be achieved at the forward error control (FEC) limit.
